2026 Trunk Shows and Classes
| Wednesday, October 21, 2026 Workshop and Trunk Show |
Join Georgia quilter and fiber artist, Denise Russell of Pieced Brain as she teaches us how to make a Quilted Sweatshirt Vest. This will be great one for beginners. Her workshop is only $30 and will be from 1-4pm at Christ Lutheran Church (606 W Lincoln Ave, Yakima). To sign up for this and/or Thursday's workshop, connect with with Mary Whitney #509-930-1421 or Cindy Fontaine #425-232-7518. Denise will then have a Trunk Show and presentation for our Program Night at 7pm on "What Makes or Breaks a Panel Quilt. We will learn design tips, simple math, and border designs. The program is free for our members. Non-members are welcome to join us for $10. |

Today's Workshop will be once again taught by Denise Russell at Christ Lutheran Church, and be from 9am-3pm. The cost is just $55. Denise will focus on guiding you on becoming "Fearless Panel Quilt Makers". BYOP (Bring Your Own Panel) *More information will posted here soon about location and maximum class size. |

September 11, 2026- Plan to help today at Christ Lutheran Church (5606 W Lincoln Ave, Yakima) from 8am-12pm as we set up for our Treasure Trunk sale, happening tomorrow! All hands on deck to get it set up and ready open. Thank you for your time and rest up for tomorrow.
September 12, 2026- Please join us for our Yakima Valley Quilters' Guild Treasure Trunk Sale, happening today from 8am-2pm at Christ Lutheran Church (5606 W Lincoln Ave, Yakima). The sale will be inside and there is plenty of parking!
We will have all kinds of fabric (sold by the pound), hand-made quilted items, sewing notions, quilting and craft books, sewing notions and SEW much more!
You're welcome to pay either cash or debit/credit card. Bring your family and friends!
October 5, 2026- Class 2 begins for Quilter's Academy, held every Monday at the West Valley Library. Please visit here to learn more information on how you can sign up your friends and family for future classes.
Tables and chairs are provided, but bring what you need to be comfy. Ironing stations will be provided and there is a place where cutting mats can be set up. Bring all your sewing paraphernalia that you need. Bring your own lunch and beverages and a snack to share, if you wish. There is a full kitchen we can use.
